From its inception, David Liska Custom Jeweler and Creative Edge Promotions has been grounded in one primary goal...to create a comprehensive public awareness to recongnize not only the men and women who are still active in the service, but the Veterans as well.  Bringing them back in to the public's attention is paramount in our mission.

We plan on stimulating public awareness through a 4 month media based promotion to find a military couple in Wisconsin who has been unable to "tie the knot" due to Military circumstances beyond their control.

THE WINNING COUPLE WILL RECEIVE A TOTALLY FREE WEDDING
sponsored by some of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Nation's
most highly regarded wedding vendors
on September 16, 2010.

Below is just one of the many emails from wedding vendors thrilled to have been given the chance to be a part of this:

"As I mentioned on the phone, both my husband and I were in the WI Army National Guard, served deployments, and are veterans.  We had to wait a long time to get married because of our deployments and I really feel wonderful about being a part of this to help another couple that is serving.  Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you."

Free Military Wedding Tops $100,000 As David Liska Custom Jeweler And Other Leading Vendors Band Together To Honor Our Heros

David Liska Custom Jeweler and Creative Edge Promotions gather over 30 elite wedding vendors to  tip the scales at donating over $100,000 of their highly sought after services to one lucky US Armed Forces couple from Wisconsin for an all-expenses paid wedding.
Military personal or family and friends will enter compelling stories of "what has kept them from tying the knot due to Military circumstances beyond their control," or "why they would like to get re-married in an amazing ceremony."  Five finalists will be chosen July 9th and the public will vote and select who will be the winning couple July 16th.   From there, 8 weeks of pictures and videos will post the fun and excitement as it occurs-ending with a live feed of the entire wedding and reception aired worldwide.  WISN.com will carry the "Operation Wedding Day" page in its entirety.

The wedding and reception will be on September 16, 2010 at The War Memorial Center in Milwaukee overlooking Lake Michigan.  A public fireworks show by the famed Bartolotta's will compliment the night at Veteran's Park.  The Bride will secretly pick out her wedding dress in a sassy, upbeat public Fashion Show highlighting the best of the best in current wedding attire styles on August 1st.

The event  will entail everything from the couple's wedding bands to hand made invitations with calligraphy, a day at the Spa for the entire wedding party,  bachelor and bachelorette dinners, hair, makeup, photography, ice sculptures, light show, limo rides, and a special honeymoon at Milwaukee’s historic Pfister Hotel-along with everything inbetween to achieve one amazingly well deserved wedding.

On March 19, 2010, as the 7th anniversary of the Iraq War passed, few acknowledged it..in contrast so many were complaining about sitting in rush hour traffic, finding the treadmills at the gym full, or tickets to a game sold out.  Together these vendors will help the public remember what "true" sacrifices really are and to further promote patriotism and a sense of heroism for those still fighting.

For the couple...they will remember an amazingly beautiful day filled with the love and support that went well beyond their friends and families.

When asked, "Why David Liska Custom Jeweler and Creative Edge Promotions?"  David Liska and Sharon Knott said, "We grew up in a family where we almost lost our 8 year old brother to Leukemia.  The Doctor's said he lived due to feeling the love and support of the many that surrounded him.  He is now 46 and still enjoying life.   We'd like to say the same about the couple we marry when they're 46 and still celebrating life together, made a little easier by those that moved a mountain for them one September day in 2010."

David Liska Custom Jeweler, an international award winning jeweler, specializes in custom engagement rings, wedding bands, along with redesigns of family heirlooms transformed into modern masterpieces.

"CASH FOR GOLD"

We would like to assist you as your trusted source for all your Jewelry needs.

Recently, the increased price of gold has removed the stigma associated with cashing in gold to just "pay bills" that there was a year ago.  Savvy investors are taking advantage of the incredible return on their gold and using it for other things.  Cashing in their unused gold has become the smart thing to do for people of all demographics and income levels.  It's like cashing in a stock at it's highest level to reinvest elsewhere!

We offer several options to assist you in getting the most for your money.

1).  You can just simply bring in your gold, for us to weigh
and we pay you cash immediately.

2).  When you cash in your gold, you can select any item
from one of our vendor catalogs and take an additional
20% off.  (See our Christmas Treasure Chest for a
sampling of the many products available.)

3).  You can trade your gold for full cash credit towards a
custom piece, perhaps using stones we remove from
the old jewelry or add some new ones.  (We recently
had a client who inherited a diamond from her Mother.
She had a limited budget and fell in love with a ring that
was $500 more than she could afford.  She decided to
turn in all her unused earrings and chains and received
$560.00 from us!  She loves her new ring that she wears
daily and is glad it's not just collecting dust in her drawer
       like her other pieces!

PLEASE GIVE US A CALL TO ARRANGE A SPECIFIC TIME TO MEET WITH DAVID TO SECURE YOUR "CASH FOR CHRISTMAS."

2009 Sojourner Truth Peace Center
"15th Annual Evening of Hope Gala"

This year David gave away a beautiful pair of rhodilite garnet earrings in Sojourner's silent auction.  As always we met some wonderful people who support women who have suffered from domestic violence.  We also had some fun!  David felt VERY comfortable on this Harley, unfortunately he is still driving a mini van!

WISN Interviews David
"Up Close and Personal"

On Wednesday, August 11th, 2009 Gino Salomne and a camera crew came into our studios and interviewed David.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLGSGfjZ67c

Gino wanted to know "what made David Liska Custom Jeweler" not only win the WISN A-List 2 years in a row, but also made his clients take the time to write in after voting and give detailed compliments on their experiences?  (David had nearly 200 comments compared to the mere dozen or so that other Jeweler's customers wrote.)

On August 15th they aired the segment on the WISN Morning show.  Check out the Utube link above to see David's interview with Gino!

Special Announcement:

David Liska named Milwaukee's "Best Designer Jewelry" award winner in WISN's 2009 A-List competition.

WE WON!!

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all of my loyal clients who took the time to support us and cast their vote in WISN's A-List competition this year.  Receiving the "Best Designer Jewelry" award is a true honor- especially considering the level of talent of the 26 other contestants.  But I am most proud - and touched - by the wonderful, deeply personal comments from my clients.  The relationships I enjoy with my clients and their appreciation is what keeps me passionate about my work after 30 years.

(If you missed the contest and would like to read some of these client comments, go to http://wisn.cityvoter.com/david-liska-custom-jeweler/biz/26424

In 2008-2009 we won 1st Place in "Best Designer Jewelry."  In 2007we received WISN's A-List "Best Rings" award under the category of "Weddings."  Our success in that category encouraged us to enter the larger, more prestigious category of "Best Designer Jewelry" the last two years.
